About Me

I find the act of creating to be endlessly inspiring in terms of what there is to explore and experience. What I find most exciting about multi media art is combining materials that typically don’t go together and creating an entirely new entity. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, I find myself grabbing inspiration from the natural world around me. From following the waves in wood grain to creating organic looking textures, I strive to make my art live and breathe.

I am most motivated by my experiences with major depressive disorder and hearing loss. When I’ve lived in emotional darkness and despair, I’ve had to reach for small pockets of sunlight to stay afloat. Creating these pieces helps me heal and process my emotions. My hope is that my work can remind others who experience darkness to not give up. To act as a reminder that beauty exists even within the darkness and to provide an experience for healing and enjoying a moment of the cathartic nature of color.
